kindergarten

{August 29th}

this day has been a looong one in waiting!

hannah and i both counted down till this day...

hannah counted down in excitement of course.

this mommy counted down in anxiety--not knowing which school i would be sending my little one to because we still hadn't found a place to live and also just the thought of her being gone ALL day was a little heart wrenching.

but how can i not feel the same excitement for her?!

we had so much fun together picking out her backpack, getting a kindergarten haircut (bangs were a must in hannah's mind), a new school outfit, checking off the supplies list, etc.

finally, she was registered the friday before school started. phew!

i was so the mother who got choked up sending her through those big school doors!

having her gone all day every day has been an adjustment for both madeline and i.

we felt like we were missing an arm!

but i love to see her feel so accomplished and happy with her day.

snack time after school is precious time now that's for sure!

i'm so proud of you hannah and the big girl you are becoming! 

i love you!!!
