snow day!

snow day morning and whole wheat banana pancakes

sledding in the city

1. make-shift bundling:  steve's old byu lacrosse warm-ups, dress-up "eskimo" suit, pj's

2. locale: trash can lined back alley

3. stand-in sleds: tupperware & snow shovel

lessons learned:

1. despite its tastiness, eating snow from the tops of miscellaneous alley trash bags is unsanitary.

2. no matter how fun it seems to put snow in your gloves and it eat like an ice cream cone, the fun can only last so long. the snow is cold. brrrrrr!

3. don't forget to close the back door when leaving the house. poor little birdy. with the help of chanting toddlers ("birdy, fly home to your mommy!" and "go birdy go!") and the skills of a gentle, shovel-holding daddy, birdy was safely guided to freedom! mommy and baby bird are now happily reunited. the end.

Ha! Fantastic. A couple things: Steve are those the same BYU Lacrosse pants that an unknown buddy ripped while playing football in front of the Washington Monument? Also whats the true story behing the shovel-holding daddy and the little birdy? I won't tell Hannah I promise.

I love the creativity of your snow day fun. Steve shared in many a snow day adventure with the Bills bunch, back in the day...
What is it about the "birdies" and your family?
