at 7 o'clock sharp, the leaves "fell" on the streets of downtown Celebration. yep, that's right, us wanna-be floridians packed the streets, paper bags in hand, to catch colored paper leaves blown from the sky while listening to the sounds of fall (music with the sounds of leaves rustling)! it was madness! though we crave the real fall season like crazy, this was an excellent replacement. it was hilarious watching hannah pick up the paper leaves in a crowd of little girl scouts and other scrambling children...i'm sure she had no clue why she was doing it, but she didn't ask questions. she was excited to jump in on the fun. we also enjoyed dinner by the lake, watching the train, hayrides, fun family music/dancing, and pumpkin painting. it was a great "fall" day!

faux fall in florida

ahhh how cute. Orlando has "pretend" seasons. Don't worry, I miss the seasons too. Utah likes to think it has four seasons but it really it has summer and winter, and then I think 8 minutes of spring and a full week of fall.
That is so fun! It looks like you had a great time! A little pretending is better than none at all!
so fun. at least they do something there in florida! but believe me i'd way rather be in sunshine than rain and snow...so be glad!
I love it! How fun! I am a total believer that it can feel like fall in warmer climates. I can't believe how big Hannah is getting!
Excuse the childlike reaction, but that is AWESOME! I wanna go! Who knew there were crazy parties like that in Orlando? Girl Scouts boxing out 2 year-olds? Paper leaves falling from the sky? I gotta see that first-hand.
I would much rather pretend to have cold weather. I like fall for a week or so and then I go into a mourning phase! That looked like so much fun!
The leaves are falling for real in Stillwater, MN. From our table in the breakfast nook we can see more of the St. Croix River and the Wisconsin ridges.
You guy will see the river and ridges with no leaves in the way in a couple of months! Can't wait!
