that face!
i can hardly stand it.
a big and happy birthday to my silly, often sneaky,
always thinking and concerned about others (especially her siblings),
energetic, giggly, random thinking, imaginative, lisp-talking little darling.
we love you madeline kay!!
{recent (as in May) favorite quotes}...do your best to imagine a little voice with a lisp, swaps t sounds for c and k, and replaces her g sound with the d sound.
while tucking her in one night, M says, "can i tell you a thwesh-tun (question)? when Dod (God) is going to protect me, i think of candyland."
while driving in the car, randomly M says, "mommy, i want a q (pronounced two)-r-sth betuz it has a tv."
"a what?", i ask, wondering how am i going to crack this code. "oh, you mean a s-u-v??"
M: dazed, "yeaaahhhh, a sth-u-b."
again, totally out of the blue, M says, "mom, after we have six kids (what?!?!), can we have a lamb? for meeeeee?"
listening to music and snapping her little fingers, "dis iz a dood beat!"
while we were in the grocery store, she randomly shouts out, "isn't it tool (cool) that Jesus really did come to earth?!" then she goes right back to humming to herself and scootching her little foot along side the shopping cart.
{a very fun rupunzal/bounce house birthday party with friends. glad this special little lady felt special on her big day despite another move in the midst.}
