buttercups and favorites

{these pictures don't even do this field justice...unedited, spur of the moment, grant wailing in the background, across the street, on the side of a small winding road...}

my kids and i drive past this field everyday, 

them shouting and pointing,

"there it is mom!"

because they know it's my favorite.

a favorite sign of spring and changes!

and they shout it like it's only the second time we've seen it.

throw in the fact that it's surrounded by rich green,

a white fence,

dotted by a few red barns,

is home to two grazing horses,

looks like a blanket of yellow (my favorite color)

and accompanied by two of my favorite posing kids (out of 3 1/2)
