steve and i were thrilled to go to a Le Cordon Bleu buffet celebrating their 5 year mark. marta went to Le Cordon Bleu in london and was taught by perfectionistic (is that a word?) chefs that did not settle for a wrinkle in uniform, let alone an overcooked carrot. so when i was served by a guy in a sloppy uniform (and 3 gold teeth. bling.) and took a bite into the soggy, colorless mush of veggies before me, i knew something was different. yeah. not the same le cordon bleu. i quickly decided that wasn't the place to be trying their patte. booo.
but hannah sure enjoyed the pastries and cookies. and i let her!
thank goodness marta is a true bleu chef...and we get to reap all the benefits! my amazingly talented big sista has been busy as a little bee sharing her culinary skillz at weddings and parties. check out a recent bridal shower tea party she did for a friend by clicking here(did it work? i'm new at this link thing).

her specialty??? Macarons, a beautiful french pastry cookie not to be confused with the american coconut macaroon. she's got us all HOOKED on these delectable bites of heaven! just counting down until her Macarons de Marta business is in full swing.

Mmmm, those cookies look yummy, lucky you to have a chef in the family!
